4 Common Volleyball Injuries You Should Know

Players in volleyball can’t avoid having injuries while playing. This is the result due to the movements they need to do while doing volleyball activities in Dubai.  Here are 4 common volleyball injuries.

Ankle Sprains

This injury can cause by wrong landings from jumps. If the players got ankle sprains, they should take a rest, put an ice for the first aid, physical therapy or brace. Player can go back to game if he recover and gain his strength, balance and full motion.

Finger Injuries

In playing volleyball, players need to strike the ball using their hands and to set the ball using their fingertips. In this case, players can have finger injuries. Players can go to hand surgeon to know what treatment you need to do.

ACL Injuries

Anterior cruciate ligament injuries are common to female than male players. This injury may result from wrong landing from jump. Player can feel a pop on their knee. It takes 6-12 months to the player to go back in play.

Shoulder Impingement

Players are require doing spiking, blocking and overhead motions ins their game and it may result of having a shoulder pain that can cause to impingement of shoulder.  To solve the injury, players must have a rest and physical therapy to return to play.
